Setting/Game:
M-Force
Monster Type:
Humanoid
Monster Description
Treeple appear to be normal humans whose bodies are partially taken over by plant tissue. They possess a tough, brown, bark-like skin and small, oval leaves protruding from various orifices. A small cluster of leaves is visible at the juncture of shoulder and neck. Internally, Treeple appear human, although with some loss of function. None of the individuals examined were able to speak, for example.

Other Game Info:
Treeple are formed from normal humans that have been affected by the dart of a Treeclops. They are initially human-sized and relativelty agile, but become larger and stiffer as they age. If left alone, it is believed that a Treeperson will become a new Treeclops. Treeple are generally found in temperate forests and swamps. Because of their stiff, shambling gait, Treeple are often mistaken for zombies, but their brown, bark-like skin and obvious intelligence show the difference. Treeple are vulnerable to fire. While intelligent, they are not as smart as the average human, and thus can be outwitted.

Other Information
Treeple were first encountered April 26, 2007 in Merrimac, Kentucky. Investigating a "zombie outbreak" M-Force encountered, not zombies, but human-sized creatures with features of both humans and trees. They exhibited sufficient intelligence to both wield firearms (a shotgun specifically) and sabotage the M-Force vehicle with what was later determined to be dynamite. The Treeple were revealed to have been picking off locals and turning them into more Treeple.
