That jibes with what I've heard, plus it's moving from BBC Wales to BBC1, a more "family oriented" channel. God help us.

Can you say "Hey, gang, let's gut the show!"? Good, I knew you could.
"Doctor Who will be four, 90 minute specials this coming season."
What a great idea! That'll free up lots of budget so they can make more episodes of "Bad Girls" and "Mile High."
"A recent story in the UK is claiming that David Tennant is close to signing a mega million deal to do a 5th season of Doctor Who (Would be Moffat's first season as show-runner)."
Since he's easily the most popular Dr. in a long time, he'd be a fool not to. More power to him.
Oops, I feel like an ass. No, I didn't realize that the last two episodes had not yet aired in the U.S. I assumed they had, and that I was just late to the party. I don't get the Sci Fi Channel, and rely on the kindness of friends to hook me up with episodes. (Which I later buy on DVD--don't you worry about that, BBC!)
So, sorry for the slight spoilers. I've edited my earlier post to make it less offensive. I'm happy to tell you, though, that the two-part season finale is amazing.
