i definately agree with switchblade symphony, with serpentine gallery still being pretty darn sweet still to this day, but i must say that bread and jam for francis kinda ruined the band for me.

my friend gave me a few of their cd's (belladonna and acconite, away with the faeries) both are pretty good. away with the faeries has ink sukk doing a cover of "paint it black" live.

For me the best album of all time would have to be Uriah Heep's Magicians Birthday. Also Megadeth's Countdown to Extinction holds a special place in my heart because it was the first CD I ever bought.

I have a couple of their songs on some Cleopatra Records compilations, but that's it really.

oh yeah, scott, there are a great many superior metal albums out there. one of my fondest memories of high school was my freshman year, and everyone in the entire school had a copy of metallica's black album ( i had it on tape at the time) and those songs still linger in my mind to this day, even though the tape has been since worn out and i've never bothered to replace it. i think all our sports teams were using enter sandman as their theme.

unfortunately, four years later, metallica put out load, and showed us their new hairstyles.

another cd i have to give props to:

B-52's--cosmic thing: despite their campy stlye of music, this cd is loaded with tons of good songs. i know this only because love shack and roam are still in my head after all these years.

They certainly do have a distinct style. They hosted New Now Next on Logo a few weeks ago, as I recall, and did you know, beehives don't age?
