Hey guys, here's a new internet law I've discovered. Help me make it popular by spreading it as far and wide as you can, make it a sig if you want!
"Tanhauser's Internet Law: When there is any disagreement on any social, financial, cultural or political issue whatsoever, no matter how small the issue or how minor the disagreement, one party will accuse the other of "racism" or being a "racist" eventually."

While I've often encountered Goodwin's Law ("As a Usenet discussion grows longer, the probability of a comparison involving Nazis or Hitler approaches one.") I honestly can't think of any arguments I've seen where the "racist" label was casually tossed around. Well, except maybe one or twice, where the party in question was actually using well known racial epithets.

Well we must be using different parts of the internat then, 'coz I see the term "racist" being thrown around almost like a reflex. I mean, speak out against illegal immigration because it's driving down wages for the working americans and you're an anti-mexican "Racist"!
Condemn china for it's human rights violations and you're an anti-chinese "racist"!
Speak out against islamofascism and how islamic regimes violate human rights and oppress women and you're an anti-muslim "racist"!. Point out that islam is a belief and not a race and therefore being against it isn't an issue of race and you're still a "racist"!
Dislike rap music and of course you're a "racist"!
Disagree with anyone on any social, cultural, political or financial issue at any time and you're an anti-something "racist"!
