Here's a link to a website that has a page dedicated to archon, and it has two messages from the guy who runs gaming.

http://www.atomicsquash.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=19

One of the messages is explaining that archon isn't dieing, and that archon gaming will be in full force this year.

Another message has him asking for GM's to schedule events for archon as due to the damned rumours about archon some people are a little slow in signing up to run games.

So what are you waiting for? Go to the archon websitre, get regged and sign up to run a hexgame, preferably mforce or maybe rocket jocks.

I mean it, if you don't I may make you a very bad NPC in one of the next games I run. I've done it to some big names in the game biz, and I'll sure as hell do it to you without batting an eye...

Prof:

First, welcome back to the boards!

Second, As Loco posted in the Atomic Squash Forum you linked, Hex Games is planning to attend Archon this year so no worries and no need to turn us into evil NPC's. (Yeah, like we haven't had that happen before, well, at least I have!)

Third, you do bring up a good point about the type of games you want to play at Archon. Hmm...I think I'll start a thread where readers can request what type of game they want to play at Archon. Heck, maybe even someone with more technical knowledge than me (i.e. pretty much everyone over the age of three) can set up a poll to vote on games. Rest assured though, Hex will offer a wide variety of games at the con and have something for everyone.

Finally, Prof. feel free to run your own QAGS games at Archon if there is a particular story you want to tell. You have played in enough games at this point, and ran some games I believe, that you are welcome to add a QAGS game to the schedule. You MAY (I highlight it because I honestly don't know, only Knome Master Ian knows for sure) even be entitled to some sort of demonstration swag of some sort.

Take care!

I'm comitted ro run 3 games at archon this year as is, all EABA, a game system I've found I liked a lot.

Last year at the NASFIC I set up to run a scenario for mforce called "Redneck dawn" (The Mforce crew is called into russia to deal with a crisis: Boris Yelstin's liver refused to die with him and went on a rampage, consuming all the alcohol it could find and growing to the size of an office building. Bozhe moi!)

Only one kid showed up and didn't want to play as a solo gamer. Damn that was a lot of prep time down the drain...

But hey, why let all that effort go to waste? If anyone at QAGS wants the full data on that scenario, well, at least enough to run it, email me and I'll give you the full draft so you can run it, I would like credit as the scenario creator is all.

BTW, if there are any print copies of "Deep space rescue" available, bring one to archon and I'll buy it. if there aren't any print versions burn a PDF onto a CD and I'll buy it at archon.
