Features - Interviews

This interview originally appeared in the May 2011 issue of Bazooka Magazine.

Horror and documentary film producers Chris Bower and John Holt of A Good Size Productions have just premiered their new web series, Horrorhut. The first show went online on Friday, May 27th at www.horrorbid.com, with more episodes coming soon. I recently harnessed the power of the internets to ask producer, host, and sushi expert Chris Bower a few questions about the show.

Interview: Gary Bedell

Features - Interviews

Gary Bedell needs no introduction to long-time Hex Games fans. His art has appeared in QAGS Second Edition, Colin Thomas Presents Rasslin’, and the first edition of M-Force, and he contributed the awesome cover picture for Weird Times at Charles Fort High. We haven’t had a chance to work with Gary as much as we’d like in recent years (something we hope to remedy in the near future), in part because he’s been an extremely busy guy. Gary just released a book called Thawed that collects a lot of his work from the past 5 years, which gave us a good excuse to catch up with what he’s been doing lately. This interview was conducted via email in January of 2011.

DC Interview Vault: Robert Kirkman & Tony Moore

Features - Interviews

Editor's Note: Back in the early 21st Century, The Death Cookie published quite a few kick-ass interviews. We recently decided that even though most of them are extremely outdated, it's a shame for them to just be hanging out unread on the hard drives in One Hex Tower. So we're going to re-publish them here every so often for archival/historical purposes. Since the television series based on Robert Kirkman & Tony Moore's The Walking Dead is premiering on A&E this month, we decided to start with them. The actual interview took place shortly after the first issue of Battle Pope was released.

Interview with Broken Toy's Letia Clouston

Features - Interviews

Steve originally did this interview for the February 2010 issue of  Bazooka Magazine. Since Broken Toy has a cool sci-fi/super-hero vibe going on, we thought readers of the Death Cookie might enjoy it as well. You can also read Steve's review of Broken Toy at www.kingyak.com.

Letia Clouston is a native of Paducah, KY. She became involved in theatre at an early age, both as an actor and an assistant director, and went on to receive a BFA in Theatre at Stephens College in Columbia, MO. Upon receiving intense classical training at the British American Dramatic Academy at Oxford University, Letia moved to Los Angeles to begin her education in film. After working on numerous movie and television productions, Letia directed her first feature, In The Dark, which won "Best Low Budget Feature" at WorldFest Houston International Film Festival and is distributed by Vanguard Cinema and can be found on both Netflix and Blockbuster. She recently received her MFA in Directing at the American Film Institute, where she directed several short films and her award-winning thesis film, AB Negative.  She is currently directing a web series, Broken Toy, created by her production company, Forewarned Films. Our roving reporter (and by “roving,” we mean that the chair at his desk has wheels) Bucky Manitoba conducted the following interview with Letia via email in January, 2010.
